Dominik Szoboszlai says Liverpool's Premier League title fate is 'in our own hands' following Arsenal's draw with Manchester City.
The midfielder is confident that his side can lift the trophy at the end of the season — as long as they don't make any mistakes. What's more, he thinks that Liverpool no longer needs to fret about goal difference after Arsenal drew 0-0 with Man City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Earlier this weekend, Liverpool beat Brighton 2-1, putting them at the top of the Premier League. With the result from Arsenal's game against City, Jurgen Klopp's squad now holds a two-point lead over their top title competitors.
Even though Arsenal have a better goal difference (46 compared to Liverpool's 40), Szoboszlai believes that the Reds are no longer worried about this as the season nears its end, reports the Mirror. Speaking to Hungarian news outlet Sportal, Szoboszlai said: «There are nine games left, we are in first place, which means our fate is in our own hands.
»If we don't make a single mistake from now on, we'll [win the league]. We are progressing from match to match, for now, it is not worth looking any further than Thursday's league game against Sheffield.
«Every game in the remaining nine rounds must be run as if it were the last and after Arsenal's point loss on Sunday, we no longer need to aim for sixteen goals in one of the nine games.»

Szoboszlai has shined for Liverpool since transferring from RB Leipzig last summer. The 23-year-old playmaker has earned praise from Klopp for his performances, especially after the Brighton victory.
