Dominik Szoboszlai has hinted when he could return from injury for Liverpool after suffering a hamstring injury earlier this month.
The Hungarian limped off in the Reds’ 4-2 victory over Newcastle United on New Year’s Day, and has since sat out FA Cup and League Cup victories over Arsenal and Fulham. But with Liverpool not in action this weekend due to the Premier League winter break, the 23-year-old has admitted he is working towards making a return at AFC Bournemouth when Jurgen Klopp’s men are next in action on January 21.
“I am still running without a ball, but soon I will be able to carefully try training with a ball,” he told Nemzeti Sport after being crowned Hungarian Sportsman of The Year for the second time. “I am getting better.

"Yes, it's possible (that I will return against Bournemouth), but we don't want to rush anything. I'd rather miss one more match, if that's what it takes, so that I don't injure the previous strain and can play continuously.”
Only Mohamed Salah has started more games (23) for Liverpool this season than Szoboszlai (21). Making 26 appearances in all competitions, the majority of the Hungarian’s outings have come in midfield.
However, boasting experience of playing on the right-wing for RB Leipzig, Szoboszlai admits, with Salah now away at the Africa Cup of Nations, he is open to replacing the Egyptian in such a role when he makes his return from injury.
