Former Manchester United player Dwight Yorke believes that his old club should attempt to re-sign Romelu Lukaku, just four years after the Chelsea made his acrimonious exit from Old Trafford.
The Belgium international signed with United in a lucrative £75million deal in 2017 hot on the heels of a blistering spell at Everton, but the striker struggled to find form for the Red Devils.
The 30-year-old failed to cement himself in the starting XI of incoming manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in his second season in Manchester, and both parties were keen to faciltate a move away - with the player joining Inter Milan in the summer of 2019.
A question mark currently hangs over Lukaku's future after his return to Chelsea this summer, following a season-long loan at Inter Milan.
The player does not seem to be part of manager Mauricio Pochettino's plans, and has been earmarked for sale, although his uneven form has presented the Blues with some challenges as they seek to shift the player.
But Yorke - who won the treble with United in 1999 - believes that the out-of-favour forward could rediscover his talents in England, stating in an interview with OLBG that he is 'absolutely still good enough' to compete in the top flight.
'Romelu Lukaku is absolutely still good enough to play for a top-six club,' Yorke said.
'I think Man United or Tottenham should take Lukaku on a short-term loan deal and agree to pay a certain amount of his wages. As much as people say about Lukaku, he has a very impressive goalscoring record and he doesn't get as much credit as he deserves.
'If you have a fired-up Lukaku who wants to play for you, he's a match-winner and a handful for any opponent in the world.
