'Embarrassing' - Toni Kroos slams Liverpool transfer target's Saudi Arabia move
Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has labelled former Liverpool transfer target Gabri Veiga's impending move to Saudi Arabia as "embarrassing."
The Spain Under-21 talent was highlighted as a possible addition by the Reds earlier this summer. Jurgen Klopp plotted a summer rebuild of his midfield and the Celta Vigo playmaker was among the list of candidates.
Newcastle United and Chelsea were also said to be in the hunt to sign the 21-year-old while in recent weeks Napoli have appeared to be the frontrunners to acquire his services. However, it seems that the Serie A champions have been gazumped by Saudi Pro League giants Al Ahli.
Veiga is set to join up with the likes of Roberto Firmino, Edouard Mendy, Riyad Mahrez and Allan Saint-Maximin at Al Ahli.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted: "Gabri Veiga to Al Ahli, here we go! Bid accepted by Celta, player also said yes. Coach Jaissle was crucial for Veiga to accept. Al Ahli sign their secret top target.
"Saudi side want to invest on world best talents - and now they also got the gem Gabri Veiga."
Kroos took to Instagram to comment on the reporter's original post. The Germany star pulled no punches as he labelled the decision of his La Liga rival as "embarrassing."
