For the Blues, so much focus has been on Premier League survival in recent seasons, so a strong run in a cup competition would be a welcome distraction for supporters.

Everton made it to this stage thanks to an impressive 2-1 victory over Aston Villa in the previous round thanks to goals from James Garner and the in-form Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Manager Sean Dyche made a number of changes to the team that night and it's expected there will be rotation again this evening.

The visitors will be looking to this trip to L4 as a way to kickstart their own season. Vincent Kompany's side have found life back in the top flight tough after dominating the Championship last season, with a 2-1 loss to Bournemouth on Saturday meaning they remain in the relegation places.
