Brennan is fine. He’s no problem. The only one is Richy. He’s had a bit of a niggle with his knee these last few weeks. We kind of feel it’s best he takes his weekend off and gets ready for Newcastle next, but everyone else is fine.
You gained a point on Villa and United lost, is it a straight shootout between you and Villa for fourth spot now?
The ladder, position and points-tally would suggest that. But as I’ve said many times, it’s not something that’s in the forefront of my mind. What’s more important to me is how we’re playing and finishing the season strong. Wherever that takes us that takes us. I’m not looking at other club’s results on the weekend to see whether we can get fourth or whatever position it is on the ladder. I just don’t think that’s where we are as a team.
We’ve got to focus on ourselves as a team. If we finish fourth or whatever, great. But we’re getting to the tail-end of the season now. I think we’ve got eight games to go and Villa has got seven. But you can see, on the weekend and midweek, every game is… you know, everyone is fighting for something. It’s a good time of the year to be involved.
Will you be watching the Old Firm match up in Scotland?
I think it’s early on Sunday, so I’ll definitely be watching. It’s one of the biggest rivalries in world football, mate. I’m very much on the green and white side. I know what it means to the supporters to win that game. As much as we talk about derbies and they mean more, this one does. I lived and breathed it for a couple of years.
