Merseyside woke this morning to snow-covered streets, icy roads and frozen vehicles.
Although many of us love playing in the snow it can be a nightmare to deal with if you have anything to do other than leave the house. One of the biggest struggles is defrosting your car's windscreen every morning.
As there's no end in sight to the freezing temperatures, it is time to start thinking of ways to overcome the problem.

Luckily, a quick and enduring fix may already be sitting in our cupboards. Known for loosening stuck bolts and tackling rust and squeaks, WD-40 pulls double duty by preventing snow and ice from sitting almost anywhere.
WD-40 has water dispensing properties that prevent snow from sticking to glass. Simply spray the outside of your windows with WD-40 to prevent snow and ice build-up. Your view from inside will be clear, so you can enjoy the sight of snow falling.
But the spray can be used almost anywhere, including your home's windows, windowsills, front porch, railings and anywhere else you want to rid yourself of the white stuff. Right now, you can pick up a bottle for as low as £2.20 on Amazon here.
WD-40 will eventually wears off over time, but if you want to remove it after the snow, or if it’s left behind a film that’s attracting dirt, clean your windows with a mixture of half water and half white distilled vinegar. The vinegar will remove the WD-40 film, leaving your glass sparkling clear.
