With Liverpool Comic Con just days away, fans will no doubt be disappointed after more stars announced they have had to cancel their appearances.
Sci-fi fans and cosplay enthusiasts alike swarm to Comic Con events held worldwide every year with Liverpool set to be no different. Big stars from the world of TV, film, anime and video games are often in attendance but this weekend's event (May 4-5) at the M&S Bank Arena has seen another drop out announced.
In a statement shared via Instagram, a spokesperson for Liverpool Comic Con said: "Unfortunately we learnt earlier today that neither Danny Dyer nor Miranda Otto can attend this weekend, due to filming and illness. As the event is so close we’ve already informed our ticketing company who have contacted relevant ticket holders."

"Danny is switching to the next Comic Con Liverpool in November, so auto/photo holders have the option of transferring them if they wish or they can have a full refund. We are trying to reschedule with Miranda and will update when we can."
Liverpool Comic Con has suffered a number of high profile stars dropping out of the event. Fans have already been left gutted due to unforeseen cancellations by stars like Marvel's Elizabeth Olsen, famed for her role as the Scarlet Witch.
Catherine Tate, famed for roles in Doctor Who, The Catherine Tate Show and the American version of sitcom The Office, shared a video message with fans when she pulled out of the convention. She claimed that filming clashes caused her to cancel her visit to Merseyside.
