Former Liverpool star warns Arne Slot over '40 people' leaving Liverpool with Jurgen Klopp
Former Liverpool forward Ryan Babel has warned Arne Slot that more than 40 people could leave Anfield along with Jurgen Klopp.
The German boss will end a nine-year tenure on Merseyside at the end of the season. Feyenoord boss Slot has emerged as the favourite to replace him after Xabi Alonso ruled himself out earlier this month.
Liverpool are understood to have already opened talks with the Dutchman, who has impressed in the Netherlands since joining Feyenoord in 2021. He led them to their first Eredivisie title in six years last season and the KNVB Cup this year.

But Babel, who scored 22 goals in 146 appearances for Liverpool, has warned his fellow countryman that it will not be smooth sailing if he takes over from Klopp at Anfield.
He told VoetbalPrimeur: "Apart from Klopp, I understand that at least forty more people within the club are leaving. From kitchen people to staff and analysts. A trainer who comes has to replace that, and that doesn't seem easy to me."
He later clarified that those set to leave had been brought in by Klopp. He tweeted: "Any manager having the desire to take the #LFC job has to know that it has to bring more than just a coaching staff to the club.
"More than 30 people behind the scenes who Klopp brought in, who were a MAJOR part of #LFC success over the years, are leaving too. Tough job."
