New footage has surfaced that could show the real reason behind Mohamed Salah's touchline spat with Jurgen Klopp in Saturday's 2-2 draw against West Ham.

The Egyptian had already appeared frustrated after being relegated to the bench after previously struggling in the Merseyside derby defeat at Goodison Park earlier in the week.

Klopp appears to approach Salah as the first of three substitutes attempting to clap hands with his player while waiting for a break in play for him to be introduced.

He is met with a half-hearted clap of hands before the German appears to then ask for an explanation as to why Salah is unhappy with the situation.

The situation then ignites and the public spat is then plays out for thousands in the ground to witness and millions watching around the world.
