For a figure who was so shrouded in secrecy across his time at Liverpool, there have been ample column inches dedicated to Michael Edwards in recent days.
The Reds' former sporting director established himself as one of the finest in European football during his six official years in the role between 2016 and 2022 . But much of that respect he afforded was earned through the results on the pitch and the media that reflected his dealings off it.
