Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo (25) and Southampton’s Mohammed Salisu (24) feature on AS Monaco’s centre-back shortlist with Axel Disasi’s (25) future still unclear.
Disasi has been strongly linked with a departure from Les Monégasques this summer. The former Stade de Reims centre-back has notably been linked with Newcastle United and Manchester United although a concrete approach is yet to be made. However, Monaco are anticipating his departure, and are already taking defensive reinforcements.
Even in the case of Disasi remaining at the club next season, Monaco would likely have to dip into the centre-back market. Malang Sarr returned to Chelsea following an underwhelming loan, whilst Benoît Badiashile moved to Chelsea in January. The Principality club are therefore lacking depth.
Romano is now reporting that Adarabioyo and Salisu are “concrete names” on Monaco’s list. The Italian journalist adds that talks will soon take place over the conditions of both deals. Adarabioyo is a long-term target for Monaco, who were also linked with the Englishman in January.
