Liverpool are 1-0 up at Craven Cottage this afternoon after a free-kick from Trent Alexander-Arnold bolstered the Reds' attempt to get their Premier League title challenge back on track.
While the Reds returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory at Atalanta on Thursday, there is no escaping it has been a damaging fortnight for Jurgen Klopp's side.
A 2-2 draw at Manchester United and 1-0 home loss to Crystal Palace means their title destiny is now out of their own hands - with those damaging results being sandwiched between the 3-0 home defeat to Atalanta that ultimately sealed their Europa League fate.
But with six Premier League games remaining, Liverpool are not out of the championship battle yet. Arsenal's hard-fought 2-0 win at Wolves means they now lead the way. But the Reds will go level with the Gunners at the top with victory over a mid-table Fulham team who seemingly have nothing other than pride to play for.
Mohamed Salah has been replaced in the forward line by Diogo Jota, who makes his first start in more than two months having recently recovered from injury.
