As of this week, dogs will banned from beaches across Wales for the summer.
This ban happens every year to ensure the safety of beach goers at the busiest time of year. Dogs will be banned on many popular beaches across each county in Wales From Conwy to Pembrokeshire until Monday, September 30.
Councils can use a number of methods to enforce the ban, with some using by-laws which can result in a fine of up to £1000. The ban does not apply to guide dogs.

People travelling to Wales for the summer holidays will need to be aware of the ban before making the trip with their pets. These are the beaches across Wales where dogs will be banned from May 1 to September 30.
Dogs must be kept on leads while walking on the promenade at Benllech, Cemaes Bay and Trearddur Bay.
North Shore beach (from Llandudno pier to the first slipway)
West Shore beach (between the low water mark and the promenade extending between the two stone groynes)
Penmaenmawr beach (between the slipway by the Sailing Club to the promenade by the cafe)
Llanfairfechan beach (between the main slipway and the river mouth)
