Jude Bellingham erupted into laughter after Gianfranco Zola made a bizarre comparison between himself and the Real Madrid star. The 20-year-old midfielder was named man of the match after England stormed past Italy at Wembley to confirm their qualification for the European Championships next year.
Bellingham, who's enjoyed a fantastic start to life at the Santiago Bernabeu since his transfer from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, led a brilliant comeback against Luciano Spalletti's side winning the penalty which saw Harry Kane net an equaliser.
Then, just before the hour-mark, Bellingham set up Marcus Rashford, who cut inside and beat Gianluigi Donnarumma. Former Tottenham striker Kane eventually put the tie to bed with no more than a quarter of an hour still to play.
After the game, Bellingham was quizzed on his incredible performance by Channel 4 pundits. Zola chipped in and left the youngster in hysterics with a rather bizarre comment: «I have to say, it makes me laugh. At 20-years-old, I was still drinking milk from my mum!»
The Chelsea legend, Bellingham, Joe Cole and Jill Scott roared with laughter before his remark was followed up with another hilarious claim. Zola added: «Jude, let me ask you… Where were you when I was at Birmingham? I would have played you when you were 12-years-old!»
Once the punditry team regathered their thoughts, the Italian heaped tremendous praise on Bellingham. More generally, Zola said: «When England were 1-0 down, he was resilient.
