As revealed by L’Équipe on Sunday, Paris Saint-Gemain reached an agreement with Benfica over the signing of Portuguese striker Gonçalo Ramos (22). Foot Mercato are now reporting that Ramos has now arrived in Paris ahead of signing a five-year deal with Les Parisiens.
Ramos arrived at Paris-Le Bourget airport at around midday on Monday. He will now travel to PSG’s training centre where he will put pen to paper on a five-year deal. The Portuguese international, who notably scored a hat-trick against Switzerland in the knockout stages of the last World Cup, will join on an initial loan deal according to L’Équipe. The deal includes an obligatory permanent clause.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is worth €80m. €65m is guaranteed for Benfica, with another €15m in potential add-ons. Ramos’ signature now looks imminent, and the Portuguese international could be in line to make his debut for Les Parisiens in the club’s Ligue 1 opener against FC Lorient.
