Harry Kane has reflected on his full Bayern Munich debut, revealing that he believes his new side 'work perfectly' to get the best out of him before discussing the differences between the Premier League and Bundesliga.
The England captain got off to the perfect start in his first match in the Germany top-flight, registering a sublime assist just four minutes in.
Kane flicked the ball into Leroy Sane, who ran in on goal before calmly finishing to give Thomas Tuchel's side the lead.
In the second half, Kane netted his first goal for the club before being replaced soon after.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, the former Tottenham striker opened up on his dream debut in the Bundesliga as he said: 'It was fantastic. There's been a lot of talk and build-up to this game. It started well with the goal early on. It was tough.
'We created some good chances but lacked the final product. We stayed calm, managed to get the second goal and the boys finished it off the bench. It was the perfect start, I'm looking forward to the next game.'
Kane continued to reveal why he believes that his Bayern Munich teammates can get the best out of him this season.
'We've seen my game, I like to drop deep and link play in the last four or five years,' he said. 'I think with the pace we have in this team, it works perfectly.
'I'm a number 9 first and foremost so I have to get in the box and make the runs forward. I'm really happy, we have a fantastic squad and I'm excited to be a part of it.'
Kane finalise by discussing the differences between the Premier League and Bundesliga as he praised the fans in attendance for his first match.
He said: 'The fans from both sides were incredible the whole game, really different to some of the Premier League
