On a busy road with three lanes of heavy traffic, located on the edge of Liverpool city centre, lies one of the city’s quirkiest takeaways.
Doza in Islington has a crazy menu, from savoury doughnuts packed with hot garlic mushrooms and pesto to a chicken tikka pizza with a mango chutney base. On top of all that, the building in which it is located has a rooftop terrace for residents with stunning views across the city.
Ben Shacts, a 27 year-old from London, is the Franchise Support Manager. Explaining the wild menu options, he said: “We call ourselves a fast foodie remix. Kind of a little bit away from fast food, more into the fast casual, and we’re all about remixing flavours.

“We have a savoury doughnut range, we have a sweet doughnut range. Some quirky toppings and some quirky flavours on all of the pizzas. We try to encompass that with all that we do.”
Jack Higham, a 23 year old, from south Liverpool, is the Senior marketing executive. He claims that customers love the ‘remixes’, especially the pizzas.
Jack said: “It’s good to see how, even though we've changed a lot of things since we opened, that remix of cultures has always been there. Putting things together that wouldn’t usually go together.”
“Now we've got pick and remix toasties. You can put anything you want together.”
While it might make you embarrassed to ask for some items on the menu, such as the Magic Mushroom doughnut and Doza Dog pizza, the takeaway appears to be doing well. They have had positive feedback from customers with high ratings on Deliveroo and JustEat.
