Jamie Carragher was every Liverpool fan at one moment in the second half of the Reds’ 2-2 draw against Manchester United on Sunday.
Liverpool were in control of the game thanks to Luis Diaz’s opening goal in the 23rd minute. But they were unable to build on that strike, going in at half time just one goal to the good, despite completely dominating proceedings. They were made to pay in the second half.
United’s equaliser in the 50th minute came from a mistake from Jarell Quansah - the only way the opposition looked like getting back in the match. The Liverpool defender gave the ball straight to the United captain who finished first time with Caoimhin Kelleher out of his goal.

Carragher was on commentary duty for Sky Sports alongside Man United legend Gary Neville. And a video in the commentary box showed the reactions of the two pundits when the ball hit the back of the net.
While Neville stayed calm, Carragher couldn’t hide his feelings. The Liverpool legend sat down in frustration putting his head in his hands and shaking his head, Neville then has a look towards his colleague with a smirk on his face.
Things got worse for Liverpool 16 minutes later when Kobbie Mainoo turned on the ball and launched a shot into the top corner to seemingly turn the game around. It took Liverpool until the 84th minute to find a much-needed goal to take something from the game.
