Gary Neville delivered the soundbite of the Carabao Cup final - and probably the whole season - when he labelled Chelsea the 'blue billion pound bottle jobs.'
It came as Mauricio Pochettino's expensively-assembled side lost in extra time to an injury-ravaged Liverpool side fielding several youngsters.
Given the strength of the respective line-ups, Chelsea should have claimed Pochettino's first trophy in English football - but 'Klopp's kids', as Neville described them, won the day.
It means questions are being asked once again about Chelsea's extraordinary spending since Todd Boehly took over as their owner.
The American businessman has splashed out over £1billion on new players in just three transfer windows on 30 players and yet Chelsea don't seem to have moved forwards at all.
As we will see here, it's difficult to argue that any more than a mere handful of those signings have proved successful so far.
