Chelsea could once again look to sell players to Saudi Arabian in the summer transfer window following Todd Boehly's meeting with Saudi Pro League director of football Michael Emenalo.
The Blues are expected to undergo yet another turnaround of players at the end of the season. Mauricio Pochettino's men are currently lurking mid-table in the Premier League after an inconsistent campaign.
Last year, the club sold three players to the Saudi Pro League in the nation's first summer of mega-spending. N'golo Kante ended his seven-year stay at Stamford Bridge to join Al-Ittihad while Kalidou Koulibaly and Eoduard Mendy moved to Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli respectively.
A number of players could follow the same pathway at the end of the season, including Romelu Lukaku, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Armando Broja, Marc Cucurella and Trevoh Chalobah.
Interest from the Middle East could surface in the following months after it emerged that Boehly met with Emenalo during a recent visit. Emenalo is the director of football of Saudi Arabia's top division and previously held a position in the boardroom at Stamford Bridge.
It's reported that the meeting was held in Riyadh in the last fortnight. Riyadh Air has been linked with becoming the Blues' next shirt sponsor for the 2024/25 season.
