I don't want to see Liverpool or Man City win the title - but Arsenal must wait until next year

Arsenal are in the midst of a three-horse race for the Premier League title this season against Manchester City and Liverpool. While former Gunners captain William Gallas says that his old team have improved, he has claimed they will not win it this season.

Liverpool currently lead the way in the Premier League with 12 games left to go, while Manchester City are just one point behind them and Mikel Arteta's side are following one point behind Pep Guardiola's team. With City still to play both sides in the run-in, it could not be much tighter at the top of the table.

The Gunners are in a fine fun of form, having won their last five league games in a row. That includes a remarkable 15 goals in their last three games, and also a 3-1 win at home to Jurgen Klopp's Reds that helped close the gap at the top of the table.

While the Gunners have every reason to be confident heading into the final third of the Premier League season, former Arsenal captain William Gallas says he doesn't quite think the title will be coming back to north London this season after a 20-year wait. However, he claims there will certainly be a trophy parade in the red half of north London next season.

«As I said before, it will be difficult for Arsenal to win the Premier League,» Gallas told Lord Ping. «They have improved from last season for sure.
