The striker captained England Under-18s as they won the Pinatar Super Cup after beating Netherlands 2-1 on Monday, knowing they only needed a draw to lift the trophy having already beaten Czechia and drawn with Germany in the mini-tournament out in Spain.
Such silverware is the 18-year-old’s second trophy in two months, having memorably come off the bench to help Liverpool win the League Cup against Chelsea at Wembley just a few weeks ago. Such an outing was only his second for the club, with his first senior goals following next time out at home to Southampton in the FA Cup.

Now boasting four senior appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side, Dannssigned a new long-term contract with the club earlier this month. Continuing to build on an impressive campaign which had seen him score 21 goals in the club’s youth ranks prior to his senior call-up, 2024 has already proven to be a year to remember for the young striker.
And with the German confirmed to be stepping down as manager in the summer, Danns is enjoying working with Klopp while he can - even if the boyhood Liverpool fan remains a little starstruck by his legendary boss.
