Dutch rider Maikel Zijlaard won the opening prologue of the Tour of Romandy on Tuesday on a tiny but treacherous downtown route laced with tight corners.
The Tudor rider took 2min 55sec, finishing 1sec ahead of Cameron Scott and 2sec ahead of Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe.
