If Jurgen Klopp had hoped for a 'business as usual' performance from his Liverpool team at Anfield on Sunday then that is exactly what he got, even though the German manager has left the very supporters he admires stunned by the earthquake announcement he triggered on Friday.
As fans have been left in shock and disbelief by the news that their messiah will be parting ways with the club at the end of the season, thankfully that has not transferred to the players. So routine was the entertaining 5-2 win over Championship side Norwich City you could be forgiven for questioning whether the dramatic news of Klopp's pending departure had all been a bad dream.
From my vantage point in the main stand, which was relatively close to the Liverpool technical area, there was no hint of anything different about today's fixture other than the occasional Kop tribute to the man itself.
