Liverpool hero Dirk Kuyt believes that Brighton's Evan Ferguson should be on his former club's radar whilst insisting that Virgil van Dijk is still 'one of the best'.
Ferguson, 18, has broken into Roberto De Zerbi's Seagull's squad like so many youth prospects have done before. Last season the striker scored six goals in 19 Premier League appearances though has already totalled four in four games this season, in part thanks to a hat-trick against Newcastle United last weekend.
Brighton may be competing in European football for the first time in the club's history, beginning with the Europa League group stages later this month. However that hasn't prevented players such as Alexis Mac Allister seeking switches to top-flight rivals in order to advance their careers.
In his current form, Kuyt has tipped Ferguson to be one of the next Brighton prospects to earn himself a transfer and feels that Liverpool should be in the mix for a player that rejected them at academy level.

"Evan Ferguson looks dangerous to me! He’s in good form," the Dutchman told BettingSites.co.uk. "He’s an interesting player to watch, and I look forward to following him in the next couple of months. For me, he’s one of the ones to watch in the Premier League at the moment.
"Ferguson will definitely be watched by top-six clubs including Liverpool, but he’ll have to keep going for a longer time to show he’s able to have a very consistent season. But from what I’ve seen so far, he could definitely be on the radar of the top sides."
