Manchester United legend Roy Keane has slammed Pep Guardiola for what he deemed to be an unnecessary conversation between the Manchester City manager and Erling Haaland.
Haaland scored twice at Old Trafford in what was a comfortable 3-0 victory. The Norwegian grabbed his first from the penalty spot in the first half and could have added a second just before the break but for a fantastic stop by Andre Onana.
The 23-year-old eventually added his second after the interval, smashing a header beyond Onana. Haaland turned provider with 10 minutes remaining, squaring the ball to Phil Foden to tap home.
After a comprehensive victory, Guardiola grabbed Haaland for a chat where they spoke about his header in the first half compared to the second as they exited the pitch. Asked about this in the studio, Keane criticised the Catalan coach for what he saw as a theatrical response.
He explained on Sky Sports: "It's all for show. It's all for show. You can have that chat in the dressing room. What's the big deal?
"It was a lovely header but you don't need to be on the pitch talking about it for five minutes. Just get down the tunnel and enjoy your victory."
City certainly enjoyed their victory and the win could prove to be a huge three points in the Premier League title race. The Blues now sit third, two points behind leaders Tottenham Hotspur and level on points with Arsenal. They have a rare midweek off after being dumped out of the Carabao Cup and are next in action on Saturday against Bournemouth.
