'It's not cool' - Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp issues Mo Salah update ahead of Man United FA Cup tie

Jurgen Klopp says Mohamed Salah is now back in contention to start matches for Liverpool ahead of their FA Cup clash with Manchester United this weekend.

The Egyptian winger has struggled with injuries over the past few weeks, missing the Carabao Cup final win over Chelsea and only being fit enough for a place on the bench against Man City last weekend.

Salah, 31, could step up his injury return when Liverpool host Sparta Prague in their Europa League knockout tie on Thursday night and will be in contention to start at Old Trafford this weekend as well.

His imminent return is a huge boost for Liverpool as they go in search of a famous quadruple in the closing stages of the season, and the only good news for United is that Salah is not quite ready to play a full 90 minutes yet.

"He's ready. He's top fit. Everything is good now, and we don't have to deal with these kinds of things anymore," Klopp said of Salah at his press conference on Wednesday.

"I'm not sure he's ready for 90 minutes, I'm not sure we should do 90 minutes, but he's ready to start. That's how it is.

"He would've been ready to start in the last game [vs Man City], but how long does it make sense [to keep him on for], and that's always the problem when players come back.

"It's not cool not to have him, but there's a game on Sunday and there are ten more Premier League games and hopefully a lot more cup and European games, stuff like this, so they are all as important.

"Mo can usually play game after game after game after game. Now, he was out for a surprisingly long time, but now he's back and now we have to make sure we can
