James Maddison fires back at John Terry with Tottenham message after controversial Chelsea clash
James Maddison has hit back at Chelsea legend John Terry following Tottenham's 4-1 defeat against the Blues on Monday night. Terry was in great spirits after watching Chelsea put four past their London rivals away from home, posting a video of his celebrations on Instagram.
Terry was not the only former player to celebrate the Blues' win with Marcos Alonso posting «London is Blue» on X (formerly Twitter). The ex-Chelsea captain, who had celebrated with his wife, captioned his Instagram post: «When @chelseafc beat Spurs 4-1 on a school night and the tequila comes out, and you end up dancing and singing on the bar.»
Mauricio Pochettino's side found themselves a goal down inside the opening 15 minutes after Dejan Kulusevski's shot deflected past Robert Sanchez into the back of the Blues' net. However, after having two goals ruled out, Cole Palmer equalised for Chelsea from the penalty spot.
Cristian Romero was sent off for a reckless challenge on Enzo Fernandez before Micky Van de Ven had to be withdrawn with a hamstring injury. Maddison was taken off at the same time as the Dutchman after he picked up an ankle problem.
Destiny Udogie became the second Spurs player to be sent off after picking up a second yellow card for a foul on Raheem Sterling. Chelsea soon took control of the game given they had a two-man advantage, with Nicolas Jackson netting a hat-trick.

Following the game, Maddison has hit back at Terry's celebrations with the message: «Jesus, you have your eyes closed when it was 11 v 11 first 15 JT?» Terry has since responded:
