Jamie Carragher could not resist a cheeky swipe at Manchester City's financial charges - despite tipping them to win the Champions League.
Pep Guardiola's side drew 3-3 with Real Madrid in the first leg of their quarter-final clash as they aim to defend their crown. They came into this season's edition as one of the favourites for glory again.
Ahead of the game, CBS asked Carragher to predict the rest of the competition, and the ex-Liverpool star plumped for City but also ensured to stick the knife in. He said: "Right, Arsenal-Bayern. I'm going to go for European experience, I'm going to go for Bayern.
"At the bottom here, I'm going to go for Man City [vs Real Madrid] - the best team in Europe. Over here, I'm going to go for Atletico Madrid [vs Borussia Dortmund], they’re going to go in there.
"Kylian is going to do it [in PSG vs Barcelona]. Then, out of these two [Atletico Madrid and PSG], I'm going to go for PSG in the final to play Manchester City. And the winner is…the club with 115 charges, Manchester City!"
City currently have 115 separate FFP charges from the Premier League hanging over their heads. The reigning Premier League and European champions were charged with allegedly breaking financial rules over nine years from 2009 to 2018.
Should City want to prove Carragher right, they have a task ahead of them. Guardiola's side host Real Madrid in the second leg of their quarter-final clash next week.
They will then play either Bayern Munich or Premier League title rivals Arsenal in the semi-finals. City are also attempting to beat the Gunners in the race for the domestic crown, too.
