Jose Mourinho opted to single out one Roma player in the aftermath of the club's dismal 2-0 Europa League defeat by Slavia Prague on Thursday night.
The Serie A outfit missed out on the chance to go top of Group G, with the Czech titans netting two second-half goals that were enough to secure the win. It was Mourinho's men who ran out 2-0 winners in the meeting between these two teams last month, but there was no such joy at the second time of asking.
In trademark fashion, Mourinho was particularly scathing in his assessment of his side's shortcomings, admitting that Roma were missing "everything" needed to deserve victory. Due to the defeat, Mourinho's men now sit second in the group on goal difference.
The self-proclaimed 'special one' is never one to shy away from saying exactly what he thinks and his post-Prague press-conference was no different. The only Roma player to avoid the manager's wrath was Edoardo Bove.
"I don’t want to talk much. The players’ decision not to talk to the media was my decision," Mourinho admitted to the media. "(Andrea) Belotti spoke because it was straight after the game. No one should speak because there’s not much more to say other than what I have to say.
"Slavia Prague really deserved that result, in a positive way, and we really deserved it too, in a negative way. Today the best player in our team - the only one I really liked because he gave everything technically, tactically and mentally - was a 20-year-old kid who wasn’t even in the first team two years ago," Mourinho added.
