On Thursday (July 13), American businessman Tom Wagner completed his purchase of a 45.64% stake in the club. The purchase put an end to Birmingham Sports Holdings' difficult spell at the club.
Following the completion of the takeover, Wagner was on hand to provide the latest on the Championship side's transfer plans this summer, hinting at a possible move for Trusty. Asked if manager John Eustace would be given funds to spend this summer, he said: "I think they have had a really strong transfer window already, and they will certainly be given every bit of the resources we can possibly provide them under the rules to make this a great team.
"We’re really happy with the moves they have made thus far. John and Craig (Gardner) have done an exceptional job, we’ve got exceptional players, now we need to provide them with an exceptional framework to show just how good they can be.
