Friday started like any normal day.
I got up, took the kids to school and headed into work ready for a quiet Friday, with Liverpool's pre-Norwich press conference having been completed unusually on Thursday, leaving our day a little lighter than usual.
And it was during a morning meeting with ECHO editor Maria Breslin that a reporter from the news desk popped her head in. The message made my head spin.
"Sorry to disturb you, but LFC have tweeted. Jurgen Klopp is leaving."
Surely she'd made a mistake? Perhaps she'd spotted the tweet from @LFCC or something along those lines. Maybe Pual Jocye had struck again.
Not so, and as I returned to my desk, the newsroom crackled with energy as our journalists got to work.
And we were still there hours later, finishing up, with Paul Gorst, Ian Doyle and many others going above and beyond to make sure the ECHO's website, newspaper, social feeds and YouTube channel were packed with reaction.
