Kevin De Bruyne and Ruben Dias fire Arsenal and Liverpool fierce Premier League title warning
Kevin De Bruyne and Ruben Dias have warned Arsenal and Liverpool that Manchester City are 'ready to fight until the end' in the Premier League title race. Pep Guardiola's side, who have a game in hand, sit second and they're just two points behind the Reds.
The Gunners are currently third and have the same number of points as City, with a four-goal difference separating the two clubs. While De Bruyne and Dias have won the English top flight three times in the last three years, they remain determined to get their hands on some more silverware.
In an interview with Belgian publication Standard Sport, the 32-year-old midfielder named Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur as potential title contenders. Unai Emery's side have climbed into fourth place, while Ange Postecoglou has dragged the Lilywhites into fifth after missing out on Europe last term.
«There are so many teams there,» said De Bruyne. «Liverpool and Arsenal are there with us, but I’d say even [Aston] Villa and Tottenham are close. We will be fighting with five for the moment. There’s a little pressure anyway to do well, but there’s no point looking at what’s going to happen in two months.
»We need to win games now and try to enjoy it. We know what we need to do. The pressure is always there, but we’re ready to fight again until the end."
Meanwhile, speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Dias has taken aim at those who 'want to tear City down'. The 26-year-old centre-back said: «People love to talk and the more you win, the more successful you are as a team and an individual, the more people want to take you down.
