England boss Gareth Southgate said after the contest that the issue would be assessed «in the coming days», and he is highly unlikely to feature in Tuesday's friendly with Belgium.
«We don't know yet. He is feeling something but he is not a player who is injured very often so he's not quite certain what it is. So it is something we have to assess in the coming days,» Southgate told reporters following the clash with Brazil.
Walker has since taken to social media to address the situation, with the experienced defender hopeful that he did not suffer anything «too serious» in the international friendly.
«Frustrating to come off injured in last night's game especially when captaining the side,» wrote Walker on Instagram. «A truly great honour. Hopefully it's nothing too serious and I'm back ASAP.»
