Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has finally arrived in his father’s village of Djebale in Cameroon and was treated to a heroic welcome.
The French striker is on a mission to Africa in order to dig up his roots as he continues to enjoy his vacation on the continent.
He touched down in Yaounde, the Cameroonian capital, on Thursday, July 6, and was greeted by hundreds of fans who welcomed him at the airport.
Due to the security situation in the country, the WorldCup winner has been moving around amid a heavy security presence.
His dad, Wilfred, hails from Djebale in the Littoral region, located about 126 miles West of Yaounde, the country's capital, as per Trip Suggest.
Upon arrival in the locality, the player was treated like a king, with cultural activities lined up to entertain the entourage.
He was accompanied by his father, mother as well as his sister. Mbappe was gifted a large painting of himself during the colourful ceremony.

It was gathered that the facility, located in the suburbs of the Cameroonian capital of Yaounde, was refurbished with funds provided by Mbappé's charity ‘Inspired By KM’.
The footballer also featured in a basketball match and then a football game against second-division side Vent d’Etoudi.
