Lanarkshire schoolboy's impressive stats earn him invite from Arsenal to show what he can do at Emirates Stadium

A schoolboy footballer from Wishaw has been invited down to London to showcase his talent at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.

Logan Summers, who just turned 15 this week, came to the attention of The Gunners’ official partner STATSports after the GPS device he wears registered high metrics for his age-group.

STATSports provides data for top English and European clubs including Liverpool, Paris Saint Germain, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as the Brazil and England national sides.

The S3 pupil at Coltness High, who lives in Morningside, currently plays for Holytown Colts and during matches wears one of the company’s FIFA approved tracking devices which registers key metrics on the STATSsports Athlete Series App.

The company noticed the centre-back’s “very impressive” stats and got in touch wanting to learn more about him and his football background. After Logan had a 15-minute video chat with representatives of the company, his dad Ian compiled a video montage highlighting different aspects of his game.

They were delighted when Logan got the call inviting him to the north London club’s stadium to participate in an event where he can showcase his talent under the watchful eyes of Arsenal’s coaches and scouts.
