Arsenal are back in action on Saturday when they play the second pre-season friendly of their trip to the United States of America.
The Gunners will play Manchester United at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the home of the National Football League teams New York Giants and New York Jets, at 5pm local time (10pm BST). Mikel Arteta's men kicked off their summer preparations with a 5-0 thrashing of the MLS All-Stars on Wednesday with Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard, Jorginho, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz on the scoresheet.
United, meanwhile, have jetted out to America having already played two friendlies in different countries, beating Leeds United 2-0 in Norway last week and Olympique Lyonnais in Scotland on Wednesday. Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag could hand a debut to goalkeeper Andre Onana, who completed a move from Inter Milan on Thursday, while it could also be Bruno Fernandes' first game as captain after an announcement was made following the decision to take the armband from Harry Maguire.
Arsenal welcomed back Gabriel Martinelli for the MLS All-Stars game after he suffered an ankle injury toward the end of last season but Mohamed Elneny and Oleksandr Zinchenko were not included. Meanwhile, Nicolas Pepe and Albert Sambi Lokonga remain sidelined while Cedric Soares and Nuno Tavares are back at Arsenal's London Colney training base.
United suffered a big double blow earlier this week when full-back Tyrell Malacia was ruled out of their trip to the States through injury, with defender Rhys Bennett also set to remain in Manchester. Dean Henderson, expected to leave United, was not included in the squad for Lyon amid a potential transfer back to Nottingham Forest.
He had surgery back in April to deal with an injury
