Laura Woods has expressed her admiration for ex-talkSPORT colleague Simon Jordan after his 'personal and frightening' prostate cancer diagnosis.
Jordan has been off the airwaves for several weeks after undergoing surgery following a diagnosis of the condition.
Much to his credit, the former Crystal Palace owner was back to his usual self as he spoke about his condition before getting back to business as usual, taking on Eddie Hearn in a war of words, something that led former talkSPORT host Woods to express her support.
Taking to Twitter, Woods said: «Prostate cancer has affected some of the men I love the most, greatly.
»And I can’t imagine how I’d find a way to speak about something so personal and as frightening, as openly as this.
«I didn’t think I could squeeze more admiration for @Sjopinion10 (no, really!) but here we are.»
Jordan gave a full explanation of his diagnosis at the start of Tuesday's White And Jordan show, telling Jim White: “I’m recovering from prostate cancer and I have had some quite significant surgery.
“I had the surgery two weeks ago, it was quite substantial surgery, and has been quite debilitating, but as you can see I was able to come in today.
“I’m going to be recovering from it for quite some time. I’m going to take some time to get back into the thrust of things, whether that be business or media.
“The reasons why I bring it up is because I think it’s a very important subject. Not because I want to have a kumbaya moment and everyone sits and holds hands and feels sorry for me or everyone thinks I’m doing something commendable by talking about it.
