Danny Murphy has revealed he's made an appointment to be tested for prostate cancer, after Simon Jordan's powerful message.
Jordan has been off the talkSPORT airwaves for a few weeks as he underwent surgery following his diagnosis.
Former Liverpool midfielder Murphy has heaped praise on the former Crystal Palace owner, and later revealed he is now going to undergo a test himself.
«I listened to him [Simon Jordan] yesterday, it is great to have him back,» Murphy said on White and Jordan.
"A powerful message as he came on, which was tremendous I thought, very brave, and if it helps one person.
«I have to be honest, because of Simon, I have made an appointment to have a test. I actually did it yesterday.
»Obviously I spoke to him [Simon], and he said just go and do it.
«I left it a week or so, as most guys do, 'I will get round to it', no.48 on your to do list.
»And again, listening to it yesterday, I just thought, 'get it done'."
It comes after Jordan was back in the hotseat on Tuesday morning, opening up on his health with a message for men to get tested.
“I’m recovering from prostate cancer and I have had some quite significant surgery," he revealed on White and Jordan.
“I had the surgery two weeks ago, it was quite substantial surgery, and has been quite debilitating, but as you can see I was able to come in today.
“I’m going to be recovering from it for quite some time. I’m going to take some time to get back into the thrust of things, whether that be business or media.
“The reasons why I bring it up is because I think it’s a very important subject. Not because I want to have a kumbaya moment and everyone sits and holds hands and feels sorry for me or everyone thinks I’m doing something commendable by talking about it.
