Brennan Johnson revealed a couple of things in a behind-the-scenes video that detailed his switch from Nottingham Forest to Tottenham Hotspur
Now on international duty with Wales as they prepare for fixtures against South Korea and Latvia, Johnson will be doing all he can to force his way into Ange Postecoglou's team to face Sheffield United upon his return to Hotspur Way. Once Spurs have come up against the Blades at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, September 16, they face a very tricky end to the month with the North London Derby and a home encounter with Liverpool on the agenda.
The first North London Derby of the campaign will take place at the Emirates Stadium once again, with Spurs intent on gaining some revenge for their 3-1 defeat at Arsenal last season. Potentially a game Johnson could start if he seizes his opportunity against Sheffield United, the showdown against Mikel Arteta's men is the fixture he is looking forward to and, most importantly, one he is ready for.
"The derby. It's coming up as well, so that's one that will be surreal for me," said Johnson when speaking in a video on SPURSPLAY that goes behind the scenes of his move to Tottenham. "It's not a long time after [the international break]. It'll feel crazy but I'm ready for it."
It is a number he does like, however, having previously requested it at the City Ground only to find it was already taken by one of his teammates.
"To be honest when I was at Forest when I first got No.20, I did want No.22 there and one of the boys had it," he explained "I like the number and I think it's a nice, clean looking number."
