PSG midfielder Leandro Paredes (29) has yet to respond to Galatasaray’s contractual offer, according to a report from L’Équipe. Paris Saint-Germain want to sell the Argentine 2022 World Cup winner, who is still tied to the Ligue 1 champions on a contract set to expire in 2024. Paredes was already deemed surplus to requirements by Les Parisiens this past season, as he was loaned to Juventus. With the Bianconeri, the former Zenit player played 39 games in all competitions. Juventus have declined to trigger the player’s €22m permanent purchase option.
PSG have already agreed to sell Argentine striker Mauro Icardi (30) to Galatasaray in exchange of a €10m transfer fee. Now, the Ligue 1 champions would like to offload another underwhelming Argentinian big-money signing to the Istanbul-based side. L’Équipe understand that the Turkish side have already thrashed out a €6m agreement in principle with PSG for the signing of Paredes. All that is missing now is the nod from the 29-year-old midfielder. The French publication understand that the Argentine haven’t responded yet to Galatasaray’s three-year contract because he is waiting to see if other clubs are in the mix to sign him. Serie A side SS Lazio have reportedly shown their interest.
