LeBron James became a Liverpool FC minority stake owner back in 2011 alongside business partner Maverick Carter. Back then, that stake was only 2% but the turned it into an investment in Fenway Sports Group, which also owns the Boston Red Sox. Since then, LeBron and everybody involved at Liverpool FC sought out to return the club from Merseyside back into the success it was during the '70s and '80s decades. Bringing Jrgen Klopp on board was part of that plan and after 9 seasons, the German manager leaves with a Premier League and a UEFA Champions League under his belt. Also, he left some memories that are impossible to forget. Some of the best football in the world was played at Anfield during that era.
Naturally, everybody involved in the club's ownership was going to express their gratitude to Jrgen Klopp after such a successful run. One of these co-owners is LeBron James, who has been supporting the club non-stop since he became part of it. Through his social media accounts, James wrote a heartfelt message directed at the German manager. James posted the shocking news and also his reaction to it.
