Lewis Ferguson talk banned by Bologna boss as Juventus ramp up transfer interest after starring San Siro role
Lewis Ferguson was the talk of Italian football after his man of the match display against Inter Milan in the San Siro - but Bologna boss Thiago Motta joked he wants to BAN him from discussions in an attempt to keep him a hidden secret.
Juventus have reportedly reaped up interest in the former Aberdeen midfielder who is in Steve Clarke's squad for the Euro 2024 qualifier in Spain this week and friendly away to France. Ferguson won the Man of the Match award in Bologna's 2-2 draw with Inter Milan in Serie A and reports in Italy have indicated Juve will resurrect their summer interest in the 24-year-old who is now valued at £15 million in the next transfer window.
But Motta, who played for both Brazil and Italy in his career, wasn't too keen on the spotlight being shone on Ferguson after being asked about his display The former Barcelona and PSG star said: "I think you are talking too much about Lewis Ferguson.
"We have to leave this boy hidden because you can see that he is a player of the highest level in everything he does. He knows how to play well, he knows how to defend, he has a great mentality, he knows how to attack too, This is a real top level player. From today onwards I will no longer talk about him!”
Ferguson has now made 40 appearances for Bologna in Serie A after joining from the Dons in a £3 million deal last summer.
