Liverpool confirm fresh pre-season friendly date as plan takes shape for new manager
Liverpool will begin their summer tour of the USA with a friendly against Real Betis as their pre-season plans continue to take shape.
The Reds, who are heading back to the States for the first time in five years, will take on the La Liga side at Pittsburgh's Acrisure Stadium on Friday, July 26.
Liverpool have already announced games against Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United as part of the tour. The Reds take on the Gunners at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Wednesday, July 31, and then meet United at the Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina three days later.

The Anfield outfit, who have American owners in Fenway Sports Group, have been regular visitors to the US in the last 20 years but haven't toured there since 2019.
The visit will form an important part of the pre-seasons preparation for whoever succeeds Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager, with the German departing at the end of the season after almost nine years in charge.
Liverpool's only previous competitive meetings with Betis came in the Champions League group stages in 2005/06, when a 2-1 win in Spain was followed by a goalless draw at Anfield. The Acrisure Stadium - better known under its previous name of Heinz Field - has a capacity of 68,400 and hosts NFL side Pittsburgh Steelers.
