Liverpool FC star Trent Alexander-Arnold names two Man City players he admires most
Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold admits he has been studying Manchester City defender John Stones up close as he continues to adjust to his new-found hybrid position.
Stones has excelled for the treble-winners when stepping into midfield and combining that with his duties at the back. Similarly to the City man, Alexander-Arnold is often tasked with covering the same two roles at Liverpool as they seek to gain an in-game advantage over their opponents.
Alexander-Arnold has teamed up with England for the latest international break. However, while he won't be able to pick Stones' brains directly this month due to his absence through injury, the 25-year-old has been noting down bits and pieces from his game to help benefit Liverpool, as well as the Three Lions.

Speaking while away on international duty, Alexander-Arnold said: "As someone who plays in the inverted hybrid role - I don't know what people call it these days - then it's John Stones. I enjoy learning about the game.
"He's someone who, for a long time, I have admired his game. He's exceptional.
"I watch him a lot [with clips]. Even when I'm just watching City's games, I will sit and focus on him.
"I have always admired him and [also] the way Rodri plays. He's pivotal in the team and someone who's massively underrated but, like we have seen recently, when you take him out of the team, they're not the same. That shows how important he is."
England are due to take on Malta at Wembley on Friday night before heading to North Macedonia on Monday night. However, getting positive results in those Euro 2024 qualifiers is not strictly imperative as the Three Lions
