Bobby Clark has seen his progress at Liverpool rewarded with a new contract - as he nears a long-awaited return to first-team action.
The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on an extended deal having impressed since arriving from Newcastle United in August 2021.
Clark has risen through the ranks at the Academy to become a regular for the under-21 side and made his senior breakthrough at the start of last season when making his Premier League debut from the bench in the record-breaking 9-0 home win over Bournemouth.

The midfielder was then handed a first senior start when he featured in the League Cup fourth round tie against Derby County at Anfield in November 2022.
Clark was part of the pre-season tours to Germany and Singapore this summer and scored in the 4-0 win over Leicester City. However, an injury suffered in September sidelined him for more than two months and dashed hopes of appearing in the early rounds of the League Cup and the Europa League group stage.
The youngster, though, made his comeback for the U21s at the weekend when scoring a late winner as substitute in the 2-1 Premier League 2 triumph over Chelsea at Kirkby, and was back on the bench for the first team on Wednesday for Liverpool's 5-1 League Cup quarter-final victory over West Ham United.
