Gary Neville admits he regrets telling players to join Manchester United considering the recent struggles for the Reds.
Since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, United have continuously struggled. While they have won the Carabao Cup, FA Cup and Europa League in the years which have followed, the Reds have not looked likely to win the Premier League and the Champions League has been a distant dream.
Off the field, the supporters and the owners have never been further apart. The Glazer family have become distant figures and United fans have been increasingly desperate to see the back of them.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is set to enter the boardroom before the season ends but he will be under no illusions of the scale of the task to turn around the football project. INEOS' founder was in attendance as United drew 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur and it was after the final whistle that Neville made his admission.
Speaking on Sky Sports, the former club captain said: "I’ve spoken to a couple of players before they’ve come here and said: 'You’ll never regret it, it’s a magic football club.' But I have to say, looking back it looks like really poor advice by what’s happened to them since they’ve come.
"It’s really sad because they would have thrived at other clubs, and other players who chose other clubs have gone on to be really successful." One player who chose not to sign for United is Jude Bellingham.
The superb midfielder toured Carrington while at Birmingham City but chose to turn the Reds down in favour of a move to the Bundesliga. Neville believes Bellingham's career could have gone very differently if he chose Old Trafford.
