Liverpool returned to the summit of the Premier League on Saturday, beating a spirited Burnley side 3-1 at Anfield.
Two headers cancelled one another out in the first half at Anfield, Diogo Jota putting the Reds in front before Dara O'Shea equalised from a corner at the other end just before the break.
Luis Diaz netted shortly after the break to put Liverpool back in front, with Darwin Nunez securing the points with ten minutes to play after a fourth header of the game gave the Reds a two-goal cushion.
There was plenty of pressure on Liverpool to perform against struggling Burnley, the Reds needing to bounce back from a disappointing defeat at Arsenal last weekend and avoid another slip-up following Manchester City's victory earlier in the day.
It looked as if the nerves may have gotten the better of Liverpool in the early stages, with Burnley the more promising side in the opening half-an-hour.
However, despite an underwhelming start, Liverpool did eventually grab the lead with their first real attempt on goal, Jota converting Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross — the 25-year-old becoming the defender with the most assists in Premier League history in the process.
