Liverpool spent the fourth-highest amount on player agent fees over the period between February 1, 2023, and February 1, 2024, but notably spent considerably less than struggling Chelsea.

Other significant buys included £35m splashed on Brighton and Hove Albion's Alexis Mac Allister, £34.3m on Bayern Munich's Ryan Gravenberch and just £16.25m spent on Stuttgart's Wataru Endo. Liverpool eventually swerved a huge fee for Moises Caicedo after being embroiled in a bidding war with Chelsea who spent an eye-watering £115m on the Ecuadorian.

Despite missing out on the Brighton defensive midfielder, the Reds ultimately paid £31.5m to agent fees and intermediaries over the 12 months. This is considerably less than Chelsea who top the rankings at £75.1m.
Manchester City are second on the list having spent £60.6m while Manchester United are just above Liverpool in third parting ways with £34m. While the Reds spent way less than title rivals City, they did spend more than their other challengers Arsenal who forked out £24.7m for these fees.
Local rivals Everton, who have endured Financial Fair Play (FFP) difficulties this campaign, were at the lower end of the table, spending £10.6m. It is unclear at this stage whether fees to agents will increase the next time these figures are released considering the period of transition the club is entering.
